A quick little update

Hi everyone!  I do hope that everyone is having a wonderful start to their summer.  We are doing great here. It has been lazy days for us and I ham not ashamed to say it...lol  I am very blessed to be able to stay home so I take advantage of that every chance I get  haha...In a good way I assure you.  I have been mia in arting lately.  You know it is all about the kids and so alas my art has gone to the back again, but it's ok.  I Do love reading everyone's blog although i do not leave comments many of the times.  It seems that trying to stay up past 9 is really hard..lol...  So i just want to wish everyone a great weekend and I cannot wait to see what creativity has been shared.  bye

Art, baseball, children lol the Abc's lol

So we are way into baseball season here and with games and practices along with chorus when is there time for art? Well I have been working on this one slow but surely when will it be finished? Well we could say I am letting it be organic in its rendering but then I will be fooling myself haha for I haven't been that deep since my college days! Well I am having a time working at it and trying to let it come to me naturally that's why I'm in a funk with it I am pushing too much to try to finish it. Anyone ever feel like that? Might have to let this rest and move on, but with the way things are going I do not know when I'll ever even get finish or even start a new piece but I am sketching. I do have another sketch book I want to make for another friends daughter and I cannot wait to show you all. Alright I'll let you get back to Arting because this was a dry post.

Busy! Happy spring! Happy Easter!

Wow, this spring break from school is just flying by. Hope everyone had a great, safe Easter and enjoyed themselves and for those who aren't religious hope you all enjoyed the beautiful spring weather! Well we have been busy in this household. Although I haven't been creating anything arty I did do a few Pinterest things. You know I did not think I would like Pinterest because of all the hype, but it just saves me so much more time in searching for crafty or DIY ideas to come up with especially for the children, almost better than mags and searching online! Heartslilian has joined Pinterest so if you all are interested I think you can follow me, but I will have to add the link and badge for it. Okay so on with what we Pinterested. Lol. I made home made liquid laundry detergent and I have to say it turned out awesome. The way it makes our clothes feel soo clean is wonderful. I did however added a raspberry essence ( only because this is what I had left) to the liquid because even though it smells so lemony and good, that does not stick to the clothes, the clothes smelled clean but I just wanted a nice scent so it is optional. This is going to save me big bucks, especially when I start drying my clothes it in the line in the sun. The only down side I have to say is that melting the soap, though it smells wonderful I have to say by the time I was done I felt like I could smell it for a day or so afterwards really annoying lol. Other than that awesome especially if you go in on it with family. Okay the next was actually 2 of my oldests ideas of what they wanted to do over break, so DIY terrariums. They had fun even when they were able to add a little toy inside. Really pretty to look at. We used recycled glass bottles like, coffee and jelly bottles. Needles to say we are enjoying watching these mini greenhouses. Well I hope you all have a great week. There are lots hung on and I am in the mood to shake things up. Happy Arting ! Off to a tea party!

Here is a quick arty thing I did today. I just used pages from an old dictionary and used it as wrapping, tied with string and embellished with my own crochet doily. I reused a Victoria secrets bag by covering the logos, thought it turned out nice. Now I know my stock of gift bags is really low! Yikes! Well off to have tea.
